In the Fall of 1977 the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk left San Diego for the Western Pacific. I was a 21 year old Second Class Petty Officer going on my first overseas cruise.

"Normal work day, making progress on work to be done. Stayed on the boat again and played guitar. They had another concert on the hanger bay. I didn't go, again."
